Paypal Oh, Paypal

Selama beberapa hari ini, saya dibuat bingung dan ketar-ketir (kuatir-Jawa) oleh Paypal. Saya yang mempunyai account di sana, telah mendapat email peringatan sampai tiga kali yang intinya saya harus melakukan steps to restore your account access dengan melakukan login ke paypal. Masih dalam email tersebut, disebutkan jika saya tidak melakukannya akan berakibat adanya pembatasan (limitation) bahkan ditutupnya account saya. (copy-an email tersebut bisa dilihat di bawah tulisan ini)

Setelah email ketiga, kemudian saya mendapatkan email lagi, namun kali ini tidak masuk dalam kotak “inbox” tetapi masuk dalam kotak “spam” di account email saya. Email yang ini memberitahukan bahwa account saya menjadi “limited”. Kemudian masih dalam email tersebut, oleh karena itu, saya harus melakukan aktivasi dengan mengklik Click here to activate your account.

Kemudian saya mencoba mengklik link yang diberikan tersebut dan saya dibawa menuju page http://www.payplcom.ns8-wistee.fr/www.Paypal.com/, yang intinya saya disuruh untuk melakukan isian, seperti account paypal, nama, alamat, nomor kartu kredit, password, email, dan masih banyak isian lain, saya lupa tidak membuat screenshotnya. Anehnya, setelah beberapa saya klik, link tersebut sudah tidak bisa diakses lagi. (copy-an email yang ini bisa dilihat di bawah tulisan ini)

Saya menjadi ragu setelah saya perhatikan alamat tersebut sepertinya janggal, paypal ditulis tanpa “a” (www.payplcom). Saya hampir saja melakukan pengisian tersebut, namun kemudian setelah chatting dengan teman saya, Agies, saya diberi saran olehnya, bahwa sebaiknya form isian jangan diisi, mungkin itu ulah “paypal gadungan” alias hacker.

Yang membuat saya bertambah ragu akan kebenaran email tersebut adalah menurut email tersebut account saya menjadi “limited” namun ketika saya login, tidak ada masalah apa-apa.

Dengan kejadian yang saya alami, saya ingin agar teman-teman yang mempunyai pengalaman “pahit”nya dengan paypal-nya, untuk dishare kepada saya. Saya mohon tanggapan atau saran atau pencerahan teman-teman atas kejadian yang saya alami tersebut. Apakah email tersebut berasal dari paypal “beneran” atau “gadungan”?
